JELD-WEN celebrates Timber Trades Journal award

JELD-WEN, the UK's leading manufacturer of timber windows and doors, is celebrating success after scooping the coveted award for Website of the Year at the Timber Trades Journal (TTJ) Awards 2013.

The TTJ Awards, the UK's premier awards event for the timber and wood products sector, was held at The Savoy in London on Thursday 12 September and hosted by broadcaster Huw Edwards.

JELD-WEN has invested heavily in its new website, which launched earlier this year. Marking the manufacturer's move towards a digital marketing strategy, the new site has been intuitively designed to seamlessly navigate customers through the procurement process. In addition to increasing brand awareness and inspiring visitors to experiment with new styles, the site also delivers tailored messaging to each of the JELD-WEN's key audiences, keeping trade professionals informed of the latest industry news and updating consumers of new trends and product launches.

Stylish, interactive functions on the site, such as the design tool, allow customers to make choices with confidence and the extensive use of video delivers practical information in an easily digestible format. Current video content includes 'How to install' demos, 'Products in use' clips, fire door advice, product testing videos and timber vs uPVC research results.

The judging panel comprised Brant McNaughton, Ecce Media, Stephen Powney, TTJ news editor and Alex Dalton, communications director of Daltons Wadkin and sponsor of the award.
